POLDARK star Eleanor Tomlinson has hinted a fifth series of the hit drama could be in the works.
The actress, 25, who returned to screens as Demelza in last night’s third season opener, teased that show bosses may make two more runs covering the final six books of Winston Graham’s twelve-novel Poldark saga.

It has already been revealed that a fourth series has been commissioned but bosses are yet to confirm whether there would be further episodes.
In an exclusive interview, Eleanor said: “If we go to five series that would be a dream. We would be very lucky and honoured to get that far.
“I think if we go to five series then that would be a dream come true — and how many series have done that?”

After an explosive end to the second series, the third will see scriptwriter Debbie Horsfield introduce more controverisal plotlines including her character’s decision to cheat on hunky husband Ross Poldark — played by Aidan Turner, 33.
She continued: “I think that no one would blame Demelza for that after what happened in series two.
“I think she is a fiercely loyal and supportive wife but when that support is ignored constantly by her husband then it is hard to remain as steadfast as she always does.. there is plenty of eye candy to catch her attention and that was a lot of fun.”
